RENDER

GO FROM MATH TO BEYOND

The computational process of calculating the light as it appears from a camera view of a digital scene of objects.

What is a render?

Render is process in the field of CGI

To understand the art of computer render let's see how it was shaped in along the years with the progress of CGI

Render Basics

The basic principle of every render engine is  translating digital 3D objects to a 2D Grid of pixels

How render engines work?

Render method - Rasterization

The Rasterization process Translate point , Lines, Planes into a pixel grid by translating each point back to the camera. creates very fast results

Render method - Ray Casting

Ray-Casting in a The opposite process of rasterization as in cast a ray for each pixel from the camera until it heats an object, Produce Fast results but Low quality of shadows

Render method - Ray Tracing

Ray-Tracing is one of the most common in production render today. Ray tracing is similar to ray-casting but it will trace each ray back to the Light Source

Render method - Path Tracing

Path tracing is the only correct method for calculating realistic behavior of light. This method cast random rays and trace the path of each ray back to the camera and calculate the amount of energy along the path.
